Synergy is defined as being when the whole is greater than the sum of the parts. Never has this been more evident than with the Polygon Xtrada 7, certainly the parts, individually, are well designed, however, when grouped together as on the Xtrada 7 they produce something remarkable. The result is a smooth rolling package combined with effortless class and good looks. It is a bike that will be just as credible on the mountain bike trail, as it will be commuting in the city. The outcome is much greater than the simple arithmetic summation of the parts.

The Xtrada 7 is built around a lightweight, hydroformed ALX XC Sport frame. A new curved and hydroformed aluminum top tube reduces weight and gives the bike a more refined presence. The frame comes internally routed, which provides cleaner lines to the bike and also reduces the chances of any cables getting snagged on trees or rocks while riding. Polygon is so confident in the performance of this frame that it has a lifetime warranty.

This model comes with the new Shimano Deore M6100 12-Speed drivetrain with a single chainring setup which can be usually seen on significantly more expensive bikes. There are a few benefits of this system - it makes shifting much simpler because handlebars occupy only one shifter and the overall weight is significantly lower compared with double or triple chainrings setup. The crankset comes with 32 teeth narrow-wide chainring for firm chain retention. The new 12-speed cassette uses Beam Spider construction to keep the weight down while increasing gearing range. Using new Micro Spline freehub body and HyperGlide+ tooth profile, the 10-51T cassette delivers advanced shifting performance. Lastly, the ride is significantly quieter, with a clutch equipped derailleur which perfectly secures the chain and eliminates any bouncing.

The bike comes equipped with a 120mm travel SR Suntour XCR 32 air suspension fork with thru-axle to give the bike greater control while descending rough terrain at high speeds. With the increased travel in the fork, the head tube and stem length have been shortened to preserve the neutral riding position that Polygons are known for. There has been no compromise on the popular handling characteristics of the bike, yet the additional travel ensures the bike is more forgiving in more technical environments. The Shimano M201 hydraulic disc brakes offer excellent modulation, fierce stopping power and yet are simple to service.

The WTB Trail Boss tires offer confidence inspiring grip off-road with its side knobs and a fast rolling center track. Double wall alloy rims laced onto high quality alloy hubs complete the sturdy wheelset for the bike.
