Yamaha RD400 Wiring Harness
Reproduction wiring harness for the Yamaha RD400 (1976-1977).
All wiring colors and connectors are the same as stock and is a direct fit replacement, but varies from original harness in terms of materials used for loom, color of plastic connectors, and other minor differences, etc. Note: 76/77 use the same harness.

NOTE: Some of the components on the new harness are different then original because not everything is available.

Minor differences:

The bike side of the connector in your picture is non latching, the connector on the new harness is latching. So the customer can swap out the old connector for a latching one or plug them together as is and use a zip tie. See picture.

There’s one other connection like that on the fuse panel, the large connector block is different from the original and has to be secured with a zip tie. See picture.

There isn’t any chocolate or dark green for the signal circuits anymore so the new harness uses brown with a tracer and different shade of green.
Most of the differences are obvious and nothing that keeps the harness from working.
